(ANSA-AFP) - BRUSSELS, JAN 24 - The European Union is drawing up an emergency 1.2-billion-euro aid package for Ukraine, EU chief Ursula von der Leyen said Monday, as fears mount over the buildup of Russian forces at its border. "This package will help Ukraine now to address its financing needs due to the conflict," von der Leyen said, urging EU member states and the European Parliament to approve the assistance "as soon as possible".
