Romania towards a no-confidence vote in Citu's government

After the resignation of the ministers of a coalition party

07 September, 13:11
(ANSA) - BUCHAREST, SEP 7 - In Romania, the former prime minister, and leader of the Liberal Party, Ludovic Orban has announced a motion of no confidence in the government led by Prime Minister Florin Citu. The decision was in the air and became inevitable yesterday afternoon, when the government ministers of the USR-Plus coalition resigned.

The opposition forces, led by the Social Democratic Party, speak of early elections, but it is more likely that, with the premier's dismissal, the dissident coalition will resume the negotiating table with the liberals. It's quite sure that the experience of Florin Citu, the liberal premier appointed just before Christmas last year, seems to have already come to an end. (ANSA).
