Granella, 'internationalization to be competitive'

08 September, 11:36
(ANSA) - KARPACZ, 08 SET - "Investing in Poland was a way to have a competitive lever to continue to operate in the markets and work on recovery." The president of Confindustria Poland, Simone Granella, spoke of the dangers of delocalization on the sidelines of the panel "Increasing foreign investment in Poland possibilities for economic development" at the 30th Economic Forum that began at Karpacz yesterday.

"Italian companies operating in Poland carried out deep internationalization processes - he explained - so we are not talking about the mere displacement of production, but these companies have grown thanks to an internal market that was a strong driver. Very often - he added - Italian businesses had to make painful choices, increasing their presence in Poland. These decisions were often compulsory choices and allowed Italian companies to keep their head and heart in Italy. Let's look at the phenomenon from all points of view: what would have happened if those companies had not invested in Poland? Today, many companies continue to be successful thanks to this longstanding internationalization". (ANSA).
