(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, SEP 6 - The contacts between the EU Commission and Poland and Hungary "are still ongoing" to evaluate the two national recovery and resilience plans. The approval is linked to the issue of the "supremacy of European law" as for Warsaw and the "challenges on the rule of law" as for Budapest. Vice President of the European Commission, Valdis Dombrovskis, said at the end of the Ecofin.

Brussels is assessing in particular "the potential consequences" of Warsaw's recent judicial decisions "on the application of the Recovery and Resilience Plan," explained Dombrovskis. The Vice President did not add further details not to prejudge the outcome of the ongoing examination. (ANSA).
