(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 25 - Pope Francis said Wednesday that he
was devastated by the news that an 18-year-old gunman had killed
19 children and two adults in a shooting rampage in a school in
Texas and called for action on arms control.
"My heart is broken over the massacre at the elementary school
in Texas," the Argentine pontiff said at the end of his weekly
general audience.
"I pray for the children and adults who have been killed and
their families.
"It's time to say no more to the indiscriminate traffic of arms.
"Let's all take action so that these tragedies do not happen
again". (ANSA).
