COVID ICU occupancy down to 17%, down in 9 regions - AGENAS

General ward occupancy steady at 31%, down in 6 regions

(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 27 - The daily COVID-19 ICU occupancy rate in Italy is down from 18% to 17% and has fallen in nine regions, the AGENAS regional health services agency said Thursday.
    It is down in Basilicata (6%), Friuli (23%), Lombardy (14%), PA Bolzano (14%), Piedmont (22%), Puglia (12%), Sicily (18%), Tuscany (21%), and Val d'Aosta (18%).
    It is up in four regions: Abruzzo (23%), Molise (8%), PA Trento (27%), and Sardinia (16%).
    The rate is stable in Calabria (17%), Campania (13%), Emilia Romagna (17%), Lazio (22%), Liguria (18%), Marche (23%), Umbria (8%), and Veneto (17%).
    There are seven regions above the critical threshold of 20%: Abruzzo (23%),PA Trento (27%), Piedmont (22%), Friuli (23%), Tuscany (21%), Lazio (22%), and Marche (23%).
    The data were taken on January 26.
    The general ward COVID occupancy rate is steady on 31% and down in six regions, AGENAS added.
    It is down in Calabria (38%), Liguria (41%), PA Bolzano (21%), Puglia (24%), Sardinia (20%), and Val d'Aosta (52%).
    It has risen in five regions: Basilicata (26%), Friuli (38%), Lazio (33%), Marche (30%), and Molise (19%).
    And it is steady in Abruzzo (31%), Campania (31%), Emilia Romagna (29%), Lombardy (33%), PA Trento (28%), Piedmont (31%), Sicily (38%), Tuscany (27%), Umbria (29%), and Veneto (26%).
    The following regions are over the critical threshold of 30%: Abruzzo, Campania, Calabria, Friuli, Lazio, Liguria, Lombardy, Piedmont, Sicily, and Val d'Aosta. (ANSA).
